Zahra Mostafavi Khomeini, the prominent daughter of Ayatollah Khomeini did not comment on the recent insult against the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Attending a ceremony held yesterday on the occasion of the thirtieth martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Mofateh, she simply told Khabar Online correspondent: "Let me be silent on the issue."

With a PhD in philosophy, Zahra Mostafavi is a professor at University of Tehran. She is also a politician and the Secretary General of Women Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Emphasizing that Ayatollah Khomeini was both her religious leader and father, she said that as the daughter of Imam prefers to remain silent.

On the advantages taken by some political currents from the desecration event, Zahra Mostafavi underlined once again: "In this situation, it's better for me not to comment on the incident."
